The activities of the project will be carried out by the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute.
The Kapteyn Institute is responsible for education and research in astronomy in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Groningen. The Institute is part of the Netherlands Research School for Astronomy (NOVA), which receives funding in the “bonus incentives scheme” for top research schools in the Netherlands.

The group of Prof. Dr. Inga Kamp at the Kapteyn Institute of Groningen University is embedded in the larger Interstellar Medium (ISM) research group (other staff members are Prof. Dr. Spaans, Prof. Dr. van der Tak, Dr. Shipman) which covers topics such as the galactic and extragalactic interstellar medium, star formation (in the early universe) and planet formation. Prof. Dr. Kamp’s group focuses on the physical and chemical processes in the protoplanetary discs and jets/outflows around young stars and comprises currently six members.
